A Russian freighter, on its way from Saudi Arabia to Tanzania, was attacked by Somali pirates off the Somali coast. The pirates approached in a speedboat, and fired RPGs and AK-47s at the freighter, setting one of the freighters lifeboats on fire. But the merchant sailors returned fire and drove the pirates off.
