The government announced that it will reorganize the armed forces. Few details were revealed, although it is expected that the separate Strategic Rocket Forces and Air Defense Forces will be eliminated and their duties taken over by the air force. Meanwhile, the army is renting out 30,000 troops to help out with the coming harvest. This was long a Soviet era tradition, but the armed forces have been trying to get away from this of late.
