Early this morning, a group of armed men kidnapped twenty guests (including three Americans) from a tourist resort on Palawan island. A search for the tourist kidnappers began shortly after that. The army feels that the kidnappers will stay within the Philippines. It is felt that the kidnappers are Abu Sayyaf and will seek refuge in areas with Abu Sayyaf sympathizers. The government has already said that, whoever the kidnappers are, they will be hunted down and captured.
